Soul Piano | Poetry |Life in a Poem
Soul piano:
A lost soul, piano
Keys, in your hands
Chains of life, symphony
Abandon, at your finger tips
White, spaced evenly
All the same, Ivory
Honesty, playing in unity
Longing right now, memory
Black, change faith in sound
Shadow and cloud, surface
Dark, apart yet hopeless
To the ear beautiful, Purpose
Cut me a key
Just like you made a key for rain
I’ll pay with pennants and prayer
For that feel in my fingers
Defrost purpose
Melt adults into children
Take notes
Stand bold
Line it up
Abrupt enough to clean up
Fat chance with slim risk
Angles on a brisk walk
And the devil talks
But I want to make a difference
A lost soul in the piano

i want to make a difference as well…love how you expound on the allusion of the piano in the opening then break away a bit in that last stanza as you talk about cutting the key…like the key to rain…that is really cool esther…
