A Wondering Feature | Poetry
Unfair and uncertainty burn at both ends
Leverage takes middle ground
Bargaining chips, higher the stakes
Gambling with my own
A penny for poets thought
Plenty of moments to ponder
To translate what is seen
Interpret it‘s fairness
Put mind over matter
The challenge will play tricks
Between right and normal
Separating fantasy
I hate coexistence
Balance
The predator of heart in art
Holding back the goodness I crave to share
Crippling its sweetness
Leaving me stuck to the bottom of the empty tin can
The rust eating away, feeding off my sugar
So I’d say evil tipped the scale
Robing goodness of a fair fight
Cheating the system
Beating the crap out of me
An open piñata
The mind, a wondering feature
I found a preacher in one of its chambers
Hidden in an un conscience thought
Tickling challenges
Awareness putting a smile on my face
Forgiveness once homeless
Finding a home to harbor freedom

life is not fair, never has been…that is a fair-y tale honestly…but i do think the scales are tipped buy those that know which wheels to grease…smiles.

This question has been asked by poets and philosophers since time immemorial – why goodness and evil never seem to be in balance. And there are no real answers, only that we should have faith and continue to trust that goodness will win out.

my father gave me an answer, but it still isn’t fair.

You have to trust that good will conquer in the end. Nicely done.

This is a very nice piece, it has a nice flow and meter.
I enjoy the way you examine the topic from a couple different perspectives and then seem to find your answer in your own resolve.
Thanks for sharing that with us.

Have been an open piñata before. I think we all have been at one point or another. Nicely done. Strong writing. Very expressive.
